Hand Surgery

Professor Deva has had over 10 years of experience in the treatment of acute hand injuries at both Liverpool and Sydney Hospitals resulting from work accidents, recreational injury and sporting injury.

His expertise in microsurgery has led to many successful reattachments of severed digits and limbs with ultimate restoration of function and successful return to work. He is also involved in complex secondary reconstruction of the hand and upper limb including the restoration of nerve, tendon and joint function.

His practice in elective hand surgery includes carpal tunnel release, Dupuytren’s disease, trigger digits, excision of ganglions of the wrist and hand and the treatment of tumours of the hand/upper limb.

In addition, he is currently appointed as a consultant to Workcover NSW, providing expert opinion on a wide range of issues relating to both hand and trauma surgery.
